Little John Golf League is a traveling golf league where regular tournaments are held on Sunday mornings and generally are scheduled for every other weekend in and around Houston, Texas area. The new season starts in October but new members can join at any time during the season (restrictions may apply). The season ends with a two day League Championship tournament.

“By the Rules” – Little John League play is conducted under the USGA Rules of Golf. Generally, all events are individual stroke play events. There are no “mulligans” and there are no “gimme” putts. It is the responsibility of each member to know the Rules of Golf as set forward by the USGA. Further information about the league rules or about the league can be found here.

Membership Criteria

Eligible member should be a male or female who loves the game of golf and aware of how the game is played. She/he should enjoy a little pressure in playing competitive net stroke play event. Age is not a criteria and ability is not a criteria. She/he should like to meet new people who share their love for the game.

Handicaps are required to compete in the tournament flights. If you don’t have a handicap, it can be established after completing three events in the league.

In short there are not much of membership criteria. But yearly dues do apply. For the current season it is $50 for the whole season.

Any individual is welcome to check the league out by playing as a Guest in any regular league tournament at a reduced rate up to a maximum of 3 events. Guests are NOT eligible for prizes.
